Momentum Building:

eClub for Alaska-Yukon!

Rotarians of District 5010 have always worked with the limitations inherent in the road system. So much of what we do dictates air travel based on the few available highways. In the past, a simple move or a change in job assignment often meant losing access to the weekly Club meeting and fellowship so prized by all Rotarians, especially to those of District 5010.

Stay with us fellow Rotarians. Momentum is building to bring you an alternative: an eClub for Alaska-Yukon. An eClub functions nearly the same as the “brick and mortar” club of which you are well familiar. There will be meetings, fellowship, speakers, projects, officers and District-wide participation to which we all look forward. Imagine a truly silent “silent auction.” Visualize a regular Club meeting, hosted on the Internet whose field of membership extends across the entire 5010 District.

Here's something concrete: two District clubs, Anchorage International Rotary and Rotary Club of Susitna, recently joined together to co-sponsor Rotary eClub of District 5010, Alaska-Yukon. This significant show of confidence is key when a prospective club seeks a charter. And indeed, that effort is now well underway.
